Female Mentors needed

Prue from Otumoetai

Hi, I run an agency called Tipu Skills For Life. We run a program to help girls aged 9- 11 learn skills that will help them in school and in life. We believe all people have strengths and abilities, and people change and grow by realizing these and imagining and growing a positive future.
We are looking to recruit and train female mentors to walk alongside one young person after they have completed the program.
* Someone with a fun-loving attitude.
* Willing to listen and meet a young person on their terms in their space.
*Have a few hours a week for at least 12 months
*Aged 18+
*Full NZ driver's license and a car with a current WOF and registration
*A clean police check

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
