CARS WILL DRIVE FASTER IN CENTRAL HUTT FROM JULY 1st.

My name is Neelu Jennings. I am a disabled Central Hutt mum who is worried about the planned speed limit rise for Central Hutt on July 1st. I am especially scared for our children and vulnerable populations. Lower Hutt already has a dangerous culture where many drivers are not aware of pedestrians and other road users, and when combioned with increasing speed limits in school zones adds up to a a very irresponsible move.
Please read and sign this open letter I plan to send to our local MP and also the Minister of Transport, Chris Bishop. Please send it on as we need as many people to show their disagreement before there can be a change.

John was Mayor, MP and councillor [city and regional] over the years giving his all to Lower Hutt and beyond.

traffic chaos
I note no comments about utter traffic chaos alicetown melling area due to not being able to turn from victoria st on to ewan bridge. You would think council would require 24 by 7 work on such a vital road into lower hutt. what about all the extra pollution due to cars crawling along at 10kmph. I guess council doesnt believe in climate change
