Police seeking witnesses in Balclutha

Police are seeking witnesses to an altercation involving two groups in Balclutha on Saturday 5 April.

The incident happened at a Clyde Street bar about 10pm, following a dispute about a pool table. Three people suffered minor injuries.

Police have since charged a 34-year-old and a 38-year-old man, both from the Clutha district, with assault.

Enquiries are ongoing and further arrests are likely.
