Red flags

Sheetal Neighbourly Lead from Flaxmere

POV: The job market is hard and competitive at the moment, but don't settle for less than you deserve and if an advertisement asks for a photo to be sent with your cover letter, just know this is actually deemed somewhat illegal and should raise red flags for you.

Unless you're applying to be an actor or model, your looks, age and race should not be a deciding factor as to your suitability for a job.

This is the 21st century....there are some companies still living in the dark ages.

Advice please

Julie Neighbourly Lead from Havelock North

My Ozito garden shredder worked perfectly until I lent it to someone. Now it only works for about a minute before it shuts off. I’ve pulled it apart, cleaned it out, greased and siliconed what needed it, and checked everything I know, but it’s still not staying working properly.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
I need it sorted ASAP, so I can get the garden sorted before I move in 2 weeks.

It’s not under warranty, being 5 years old now. Sadly, it still would have been had I tried to use it after it was returned. I haven’t for a few years. Now it’s too late.

Time to Tickle Your Thinker 🧠

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

If a zookeeper had 100 pairs of animals in her zoo, and two pairs of babies are born for each one of the original animals, then (sadly) 23 animals don’t survive, how many animals do you have left in total?
