Hello☺️

Laura from East Tamaki Heights

🌟 Hi! I'm Laura and I'm looking for a part-time or casual job 🌟

Hello! My name is Laura, I’m 27 years old, and I’m an English student. I arrived in New Zealand just over a month ago and currently live in Heyington Way. I’m looking for a part-time or casual job in the area where I can contribute with enthusiasm and dedication.

I’m available Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and all day on weekends. I also have a student visa, allowing me to work up to 20 hours per week.

I love animals and enjoy spending time with them, so if you need help with your pet—whether it’s walking, caring for, or playing with them—I’d be happy to do it with love and responsibility. I also have patience and a good connection with children, so if you ever need someone to look after them on a Saturday, I’d be more than happy to help.

I am a responsible, reliable, and caring person who loves to help. If you need support with pet care, babysitting, or any other task I can assist with, please don’t hesitate to contact me! And if you know of any part-time job opportunities, please send me a message, I would really appreciate it.

📲 Contact me at: 0204353819

I’d love to meet you and help in any way I can! 😊💛

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
