Poll: Are you affected by the drought?

Libby Reporter from Waikato Local

With no significant rain forecast until “maybe” later this month, grass is a hot commodity and dry stock farmers who’ve taken on dairy farmers’ heifers want to give them back.

Following a meeting of the adverse event cluster group in early March, Agriculture Minister Todd McClay declared a medium scale adverse event for the region, along with other parts of the country.

Are you affected by the drought? Tell us about it in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Have you been to Hamilton Gardens lately?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Hamilton will soon offer a portal to a medieval ‘hospital’, without the stress of the bubonic plague.

The Medieval Gardens will open next year at Hamilton Gardens, with much of the work already done.
