Poll: Are you involved in conservation in your area?

Libby Reporter from Waikato Local

A Waikato man has traded the gym for “getting up hills” to check trap lines, and is leading the crusade to bring back bird life to the Hakarimata ranges.

For the last three years Greg Townsend has been checking a network of traps across his land and the neighbouring Hakarimata DoC reserve in the hopes that one day, bird song will be heard again in the forest.

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
