Nymet Open Garden Weekend is on this year on the weekend of 19th & 20th October, 280 Cemetery Road, Maunu - open 9am -4pm both days, we are fundraising for the animals. $8.00 entry fee, ticket sales at the gate. Wheelchair friendly, off road parking available, refreshments available, plants for sale.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
