What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
Te Koru Kai
What is Te Koru Kai?
Te Koru Kai is a food scrap exchange initiative created to support our Eastside whΔnau and whenua. Here's how it works:
β‘οΈ You provide us with your food scraps.
β‘οΈ In return, we give you fresh eggs.
β‘οΈ Eventually, this will expand to include vegetables and meat!
This is a kaupapa designed specifically for the Eastside community to promote sustainability, reduce waste, and strengthen connections.
At the moment, Te Koru Kai is full, but Iβve started a waiting list. If youβd like to join, I can add your name, and youβll be contacted when spaces open up.
