Getting out of Titahi Bay nearly impossible!
From our experience today: getting out of Titahi Bay at 7.30am, there were queues along Titahi Bay Road all the way back to Whitehouse Road and along all the side roads trying to join onto Titahi Bay Road.
So 35 minutes to get from Dimock Street to the traffic lights by Wi Neera Drive
Returning home an hour later: the queues are just as bad but luckily we were going in the opposite direction.
It is time there was a secondary road into and out of Titahi Bay, because this is just not acceptable.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
58.3% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.5% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
16.2% ... It is complicated
