Hornby Residents Meeting to discuss rates rise
A meeting will be held this Sunday 24 March at 2pm at the Hornby Club.
Come along and hear the Chair of the Christchurch City Council Finance and Performance Committee Cr Sam McDonald present a presentation on what is proposed in terms of rate payers for the next ten years as part of the draft Long Term Plan.
Come along and listen in but also Cr McDonald will answer residents questions and from there it is up to you to make sure you submit your submission on what is planned and have your say. At the meeting we will give further instruction on how residents can submit on the draft Long Term Christchurch City Council Plan.
Poll: Have you ever been bullied?
People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.
This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
Have you or your whānau ever experienced bullying? Share your thoughts on Pink Shirt Day below.
