Jan to Feb 24 call outs

17 Jan 14:37 car v motor intersection of Mapua Dr and SH60, road closed. Police investigating.
17 Jan 18:46 call by police to was road from above call.

23 Jan 13:27 alarm activation Shed 4 Mapua wharf, stood down, activation by alarm
person on site.
28 Jan 19:41 BBQ on fire on Mahana Ridge, Threating house. Upper Moutere Fire
controlled fire, turned Mapua back.
5 Feb 10:46 Shed fire Sunrise Valley Rd, helped put fire out, help with water supply.
May have been started with a hot ride-on mower that had just finish
mowing and been parked in shed.
10 Feb 13:54 Alarm activation Mahana School, nothing found.
13 Feb 13:25 Fire at cool store in Motueka, stood down

Did you know that two fire engines respond to any property fire,
e.g. house, shed, school, any building. Wither on fire or threaten.

Safety Tip – Be safe.

No fires to be lit. Prohibited fire season. Fire ban in our area.
Be careful with hot machinery, grinders, mowers etc.

We have had a few members who have left recently and are looking for some new members to join the brigade, who would be available day time.
