On Sunday I held an open home for my property which I hope to rent out in Island Bay. There was a young couple, Amy and Sam (also known as Bob/Bobby) who were keen to apply. I told them to email me through their application form, but have since learned that my email is playing up and messages aren't getting through. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
