Annual Plan Consultation 2023/2024

Lynn Benfell from Progress Ngongotaha-Kokiri Ngongotaha Inc.

Kia ora Koutou, Hi Everyone,

We have a Public Annual Plan Consultation get together with RLC Councillors and Staff this coming Tuesday 2 May, 7pm at the Ngongotaha Community Hall.

This is the opportunity to share your thoughts about the proposed cuts to the City Budget.
Your thoughts, concerns DO matter. One particular concern is the proposal to remove the hanging baskets from the Village.

This is proposed to be for 12 months but once they are gone, will we see them back again?
Are there other ideas or suggestions that you could make.

Further information available through Rotorua Lakes Council.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
