An exciting new sports event is coming to Ōtautahi Christchurch in February 2023 – the first of its kind for our city, this event will showcase different sports and active recreation options available across Canterbury all in one place.
Game On Canterbury 2023 invites Cantabrians of all ages and abilities to try something new during a fun, interactive, and inclusive day with plenty of opportunities and activities on show.
This community event is free to attend and will take place at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 19 February 2023, 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
