Driver, Supporter and General Helper

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites - Franklin

Do you have a full licence and a reliable vehicle?
Would you like a job close to home in Waiuku
Are you reliable and good with people?

We are looking for a Waiuku local who could help out a man in his 60’s with a disability. He is looking for someone reliable and engaging to help him get around in the community. He is a friendly, chatty guy who needs someone to lend him a hand on weekday mornings and afternoons to get to and from work.

Ideally you would work 8/8.30 – 9am and 4 – 5/5.30pm Monday to Friday (about 10 hours per week). He would pay you for your time and your mileage (and he doesn’t mind if you drop him off while dropping your kids at school or getting yourself to another job). In that afternoon slot some flexibility would be great to support him at the supermarket, cleaning his home or helping him with the tasks that he finds hard because he is blind. Sometimes he does need to venture further from Waiuku (like to a training course in Penrose), your availability to support him with something like that would be amazing if possible.

If you are interested please email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz or send me a message

Flying Kites helps people with disabilities find amazing people to support them to live their lives and achieve their dreams. #FlyingkitesNZ
