So tonight I guess I will have to dose up my labrador with his calming solution again and then sit on him half the night while he has a full on panic attack, so he doesn't hurt himself, or break stuff. As I've had to do for the last several nights, and off and on for weeks.
Do you think that after tonight we could show our pets some compassion and respect by not letting these stupid things off every night?
No, probably not. The pets will just have remain terrified every night for weeks, I suppose.

Giant tui takes flight on Te Awa River Ride Art Trail
Spotting a tui is usually enough to make anyone pause what they are doing to behold its beauty - but this one will definitely stop you in your tracks.
The tracks in this case are on the Te Awa River Ride, the new cycle and walking trail that runs alongside the Waikato River. A section of the route, between central Cambridge and the Grassroots Trust Velodrome, is in the process of becoming a grand outdoor art gallery.
