Nash Reserve Possible Community Planting
The west end of Nash Reserve which goes through Adanfield and the back (NE) of Kirkwood has never been landscaped as the then City Council (2007) wanted reserve money rather than Aidanfield Holdings do the landscaping. The Parks and Gardens dept has no immediate plans for landscaping this area, however, they will offer their support if community members volunteer to do the planting. The council supply the plants and ready the land so all you need to do is bring yourself and a spade. The day and date, usually on the weekend, is arranged by the council.
If you would like to be a volunteer planter, please email, text or drop a note to:

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
