Shoe shooing
Only one shoe repairer left in Upper Hutt with the long established shoe and leather man moving onto to the Wairarapa.
So took my clean trainers to the one still standing for toe gluing. Forty dollars he said. What, I said. Needs cleaning too said the other man behind the counter. I may as well buy a new pair I said.
And I left.
Only two shoe repairers in Lower Hutt and went to one of them with the trainers. $10 bucks he said. OK, I said.
Maybe another reason to shop further down the line.
