We might not need a new airport after all
An electric seaglider prototype has successfully completed its maiden flight, says New Zealand-based Ocean Flyer which wants to bring 25 of them here, to carry up to 100 passengers at high speeds above the water between cities and towns, particularly harbour or shore-based cities such as Whangarei and Auckland and Wellington and Christchurch.
I sincerely hope that our next council is a forward-looking one that finally grasps some of the many opportunities that the transition to a circular, sustainable, low-carbon economy offers.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
