Now is the right planting time! Mondo grass (Ophiopogon japonicus) makes perfect low borders or massed planting under trees. $12.00 ea or $10.00 ea for 10 or more. Reach 30cm high and wide. These ones well established with strong roots. Do best in semi-shade (midday summer sun can burn the leaves) with good drainage. Hardy to frosts and dry periods once established. Plant now, ready for best look in summer.

While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.
And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
