🔶 Connecting and Contributing 🔶

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites

Are you responsible, friendly and proactive?
Are you looking for 6 -10 hours of work per week in Surfdale?
Would you like to make the difference to a family who needs a hand?

We are looking for someone to support a man with a physical disability. He needs someone to help him with most physical tasks in his day due to his limited mobility. He is a charming, happy young man who loves to chat, having reliable and respectful people supporting him each day makes a huge impact.

This role is key to helping him get up and ready for his day, the hours are 9am – 11am 3 or 4 days per week. Working alongside another support person or a member of his family you will help him to get showered, dressed and ready for the day. He uses a hoist and commode chair to help him with these processes. Someone with experience would be amazing, but not essential as full training and support will be given.

If you are a respectful, organised and compassionate person who is looking for some extra work to see them through the week this role could be for you. You need to have had your covid vaccines, be physically capable and be looking for a role that will truly make a difference.

If you are interested please get in touch, we would love to chat to you about the opportunity.

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?

Poll: Do you think Auckland Council is doing enough to help households safely dispose of hard-to-recycle waste?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

How do we Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle the hard stuff?
We’re talking tyres, paint, and agricultural chemicals — the items that aren’t always easy to dispose of.

Recently featured in The Post, this innovative business is showing how waste can be transformed into opportunity, turning what we throw away into products.

But this raises a bigger question: how do we get our waste to the right people — the ones doing the right things with it?
♻️ Do you think Auckland Council is doing enough to help households safely dispose of hard-to-recycle waste and get it back into the supply chain?

We’d love to hear your thoughts.
