Whist is a social card game similar to 500.
The whist club has been in operation for over 40 years but is now struggling for members
They meet on Wednesday at the Manchester Unity Hall on the first , third and if there is one the fifth night of each month starting at 7.15pm

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
