Last night there were issues of cars that couldn't get down the street to collect people. I guess people couldn't get home also. People in the upper street please consider us that live further down. Perhaps it may be time we have yellow lines on one side of the street to prevent this happening again and again, also emergency services to get down safely.

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
