***JOIN US TODAY - Welcoming girls (9-12.5yrs) to join our Guide Unit in Nelson***
Know any girls ready to tackle the world, gain the spirit of adventure and make some new friends along the way? We have room for new Guides to join our GirlGuidingNZ whanau in Nelson!
Nelson Guides Tuesday 5.30-7.30pm, Old St Johns Hall, 320 Hardy Street, Nelson
GirlGuiding is a fantastic space for young women and girls to meet and socialise with other girls outside of school, feel a sense of belonging, and contribute to their community. The girls learn new skills, learn about their place in the world, and gain a real sense of achievement in earning badges for their efforts. Most importantly – it is a great space for them to be young and just have some fun!
If your daughter would like to come along for a visit, please register at girlguidingnz.org.nz... and our Girl Recruitment Co-Ordinator will be in touch.
Please also like and share this post so we can grow our Guiding family here in Nelson, we hope to see you soon! 😊

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
