Need to find new homes for two lovely cats!

Roma from Westmere

LOOKING TO REHOME TWO LOVELY CATS!

Hello! I am going overseas at the beginning of June and unfortunately need to find new homes for my two female six-year-old cats, Mo and Kat. Both cats have no underlying health conditions and have been well looked after by a vet nurse and are microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatments. They are both very low maintenance and have very kind temperments.

Mo is the short-haired one and is the most gentle, sweetest cat you will ever meet! She is slightly timid at first but enjoys getting her belly rubbed and loves to spend her time outdoors lying in the sun.
Kat is the fluffy one and is more on the lazy side and loves her treats and sleeps on my bed every night. She is slightly more anxious but will become your best friend if you give her a good brush!

They do not need to be rehomed together and would be suited to homes with no other pets. I will have flea treatments and a bag of food and beds to give away with them and a little koha to say thank you. It breaks my heart having to give them up but just hoping I can find them a good home so please share around and feel free to contact me on 02108313625 or dm for more information <3 <3

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
