09/05/2022: WCC Annual Plan: three key areas-finance, housing and the Southern Landfill

The Draft Annual Plan is out for consultation. Three key areas for consideration are: council funding, council housing and the southern landfill. We strongly recommend and urge residents and ratepayers to have your say. There is a series of information boards set up at our local Brooklyn Community Centre located on Harrison St. Fill out a form there(submission box there), print off and post it in or fill attached form and email to WCC at annualplan@wcc.govt.nz. more information available . Submissions close Sunday the 15th. We urge you to make a submission.

Combining biking with bus travel

Anyone out there who, like me, would love to bike more, but have difficulty getting their bike on the rack on the bus ? It's sometimes necessary, so as to avoid steep hills and roads where I don't feel safe.
Metlink say their drivers aren't meant to help.
