Volunteers wanted
Can anyone spare a couple of hours to help out Grief Support Services in Greerton? They are looking for some volunteers to help move furniture during renovations. If you can help on any of the following days please email office@griefsupport.org.nz.
Tuesday 29 March - daytime
Saturday 9 or Sunday 10 April - negotiable on time
Tuesday 12 April - after 5pm
Easter Weekend - negotiable on time
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
