Road damage

Richard from Flat Bush

When I moved to Flatbush over a year ago, I was introduced to a large trench or ditch at the bottom of the hill by the Nikau school. It remained like this for quite a while until somebody decided to repair it and at the same time build a pedestrian bridge over the creek much to the delight of everyone who use this road. Since the road and walkway were repaired a few months ago a new ditch or trench has opened up close to the walkway. I for one will not drive my vehicle over this preferring to drive on the opposite side of the road. What will it take before somebody or someone decides to do something about it. Does anyone know if this problem has been reported to transport or whoever is responsible for maintaining our roads. The sooner the better I reckon...

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?
