Depot Artspace Gallery opening this Saturday with performances at 3pm

The Team from Depot Artspace

Our gallery doors officially open this Saturday 22 January for 2022 with 2 new exhibitions to welcome us into the new year!

Opening events are from 2-4pm with special dance and music performance at 3pm by exhibitor Dylan-Blanc Huata and his sister Mistee K.

Future Propositions exhibition presents the collective workings of regional Victorian (Australia based) artists Genevieve Thornton and Elise Lidgett and Aotearoa New Zealand artist Michelle Mayn. The exhibition combines sculpture, video and photography which explores our unknown futures, speculating on life and relationships, looking to the force of the present as it writes the paths of the future..

Hi There, Haere is a solo exhibition of Dylan-Blanc Huata which presents the audience with the honest and harsh lifestyle of Māori & kiwis living comfortably and in poverty. From financial struggles to domestic abuse, Dylan Blanc’s take is defined through a disorganised, vibrant and abstract style.

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?

Poll: Do you think Auckland Council is doing enough to help households safely dispose of hard-to-recycle waste?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

How do we Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle the hard stuff?
We’re talking tyres, paint, and agricultural chemicals — the items that aren’t always easy to dispose of.

Recently featured in The Post, this innovative business is showing how waste can be transformed into opportunity, turning what we throw away into products.

But this raises a bigger question: how do we get our waste to the right people — the ones doing the right things with it?
♻️ Do you think Auckland Council is doing enough to help households safely dispose of hard-to-recycle waste and get it back into the supply chain?

We’d love to hear your thoughts.
