The Red Cross shop in Whangarei would like to wish all our customers a very happy Christmas. Thank you for all your wonderful support throughout this difficult year. The Red Cross shop will be open normal hours up until Friday 24th of December 2021. We will be closed from Saturday 25th to Tuesday 28th of December. We will be open again Wednesday 29th of December to Friday 31st December. In January we will be closed Saturday 1st January to Tuesday 4th January and then open normal hours from Wednesday 5th of January.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
