North Cantabrian fights to make dangerous road intersection safer
Justin Salter says lives are at risk if nothing is done about a busy North Canterbury intersection.
The Rangiora resident was involved in a crash at the intersection of Lehmans and Johns roads last October. His car was hit in the side by another travelling between 80 and 100kmh. The crash could have easily been fatal, he said.
He had given way at the intersection and looked left and right, but did not see the oncoming car due to a blind spot, he said.
Salter admitted he was at fault, but believed the intersection was also dangerous.
