Are most volunteers retired?

A lot of people think that volunteers are mostly retired, but when we looked at our stats recently, we found out that only 14% of new volunteers in Marlborough are retired. Interestingly, the biggest group was people who are in full-time employment (24%). ⁠

For the stats nerds out there, here's the rest of the stats:⁠
People in part-time employment - 10% ⁠
Students - 10%⁠
Seeking employment - 15%⁠
Self-employed - 5%⁠
Not in paid employment by choice - 4%⁠
Rather not say - 9%⁠
Other - 9%⁠
