Craig from Miramar

The Wellington Club
Fri, Aug 27 2021, 7:00PM

Dress for Success Wellington warmly invites you to our Sustainable Fashion Showcase at The Wellington Club on Friday, August 27th at 7pm. Please find the details of this very special evening attached.

We provide clothing for interviews, house viewings, court appearances, graduations, formal functions even replacement clothing after a fire - whatever is needed. We don’t turn anyone away. We also empower women into work and self-sufficiency through our many programmes. Our funding only covers a small portion of the work we do and we need to fundraise to make up the shortfall.

Support to make this event a success so we can continue our life transforming work would be appreciated. Please pass this to your friends and family. Feel free to print the attached poster and put them up at your workplace or social club.

Tickets are available for purchase for $65 via EventFinda.

Price: $65

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
