Stuff Travel has released its top five hikes in the Northland region out of more than 100 to choose from.

The array of walks, which vary in length and terrain difficulty, take you through unspoiled beaches, and rich native forests.

In the article linked below, Lorna Thornber names Te Paki Coastal Trail, Mt Manaia Track, Cape Brett Track, and Te Whara Track as the places to visit.
