FAIRER RATES Protest March
Ratepayer Protest for Fairer Rates organised by TRA.
When: Monday 26 July 2021
Where: Strand carpark downtown Tauranga
Time: 12.30pm
Parking at Sulphur Point with shuttle bus.
March to Council Chambers, bring something to make lots of noise. Drown out the council meeting ratifying the high rates rises needed for the next Long Term Plan.
Why should the ordinary ratepayer pay for growth when the existing city needs investment in roads and bridges and new amenities? These high rate rises continue every year for the next 10 years.
In 10 years this Long Term Plan it will "Double your rates and triple the city's debt".
