Antique dark oak furniture pieces

Jose from Cockle Bay

Both these pieces have been in the family for a very long time but now need a new home. The sideboard still has its lockable cupboards and cutlery drawers. It also has some borer like a lot of older furniture. The writing desk has had one of its hinges on the fold down flap replaced. At auction we were told that the sideboard might fetch $400 and the writing desk $300. If interested in more photos or dimensions please message me - or to make an offer.

Writing Desk - 137 cm wide by79cm high by 48cm deep without writing area

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
