Vicki from Papanui

Registered charity NZ Gifts of Love and Strength provide care packages for victims of trauma.

Most have PTSD which means they have a short concentration span.

In our care packages we love to put a couple of magazines in for them to flick through to take their minds off things for a break.

If you have any of the following magazines still in excellent condition without any puzzles completed etc could you please get in contact with us either on our Facebook page or text Lynette 0274 682 154 or Vicki 0274 388149. Thank you:

Magazines we are in need of are:

Mind food, Good, Wellbeing
Breathe (teen and adult)
Woman and W2Woman

Home and Garden /Your home and Garden

National Geographic for kids

We also are looking out for adult colouring in books, puzzle books like word find, crosswords etc.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
