Wildlife with fishing hook injuries
Sadly we've seen a spike in wildlife coming in to The Nest Te Kōhanga, the Zoo's wildlife hospital, with fishing hook and fishing line injuries this summer.
Our Vet team have been treating these patients and seen firsthand the devastating impact of these fishing hook injuries on our precious manu.
This is a timely reminder that if you are fishing along our coastlines, please remember to remove your rubbish and pick up any other fishing tackle you see around you.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
