Does the rest of NZ really dislike Auckland and Aucklanders?

We're looking into how some common claims about NZ stack up and would be interested in your thoughts on whether Aucklanders really are disliked by Kiwis in other parts of the country. If you're an Aucklander, have you ever been made to feel bad about this on your travels? If you're from elsewhere, what are your thoughts on Auckland and Aucklanders? Powdery residue
Is anyone else finding dishes coming out of their dishwasher with a powdery residue?
I washed them twice, no powder second time and they came out worse.
I put a dishwasher cleaner through 3 weeks ago.
