We are all different...
We recognise that people are different and, because of this, volunteering cannot be 'one-size fits all'. That's why we offer 'reverse recruitment'.
Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity that is a little out of the ordinary? Or looking to use specific skills?
Maybe you've looked through the volunteer roles listed on our website and we just don't have what you're looking for at the moment?
This is where our Reverse Recruitment programme comes in. Reverse Recruitment is a FREE service that involves you sitting down with a VM staff member to talk about who YOU are and what YOU want to get out of volunteering. We ask about your dreams, hobbies, skills, passions, experience, future plans, etc. We then build a unique profile and send it out to our network of community organisations and groups so that we can find an opportunity that is tailored just for YOU!

Poll: Would you take a 1.5-hour hike for a shop? 🌿🐦
Canterbury, you have a hidden treasure right on your doorstep ... though it does come with a 1.5-hour walk up the stunning Rakaia Gorge Walkway.
Along the trail you’ll find The Fantail Shop showcasing small artworks by local artisans. Even better, every purchase supports the Fantail Trust, helping protect and restore biodiversity on the north bank of the gorge.
So we’re curious: would you take a 1.5-hour hike for a shop? (And for local biodiversity, of course 🌿)
-

-
68.1% No thank you.
