Car and train crash near Featherston 28 January 2021

South Wairarapa District Council

Police have reported a car and train crash at Speedy's Crossing on Western Lake Rd at about 2 pm today. The road is closed with diversions in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Bus replacement services are operating. See the Metlink website for future rail updates - www.metlink.org.nz...

Update 3.11pm - Road closure on Western Lake Road from Woodward Street to Viles Road until further notice.

Grazing for cattle

Hi, I am in need of cattle grazing South Wairarapa preferred but will look outside this if grazing is suitable. losing my current lease block, do pay and check my cattle regularly can even get refs if needed. I have very quite friendly cattle.
