Pukekos Missing - Are they being killed?
Haven't seen these little guys for days now. Has anyone else in the valley between Sunset Road and Totara Vale seen any of them - dead or alive? This has happened before some 15 years ago when they all vanished overnight. It took all of that time for them to reappear last year.
They are territorial so it's unlikely they've migrated somewhere else. Their chicks are barely 5 mths old.
Anyone got any idea what's happened to them?
