Christmas Thoughts

Dave from Levin

As we all head off to our respective homes ,or where we intend to spend Christmas day, can we all spare a thought for those in other countries who are in lockdown / quarantine and cannot be with their loved ones . Also for those who are looking after those affected or on the front line to pick up the inevitable mess made by someone celebrating "their freedom" and taking it from someone else with their selfish drink driving , travelling outside their circle when they are sick etc . So THANK YOU Doctors , Nurses , carers , First responders ( ambulance , police and fire ) , Emergency personal of any kind ( vets , surf lifesavers ,roading crews , public utility crews who temper their holiday by being available and in a state to help ). Thank You for making our Christmas Day , know you are appreciated and held in the highest regard

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
