Reminder: The Volunteer Marlborough office will be closed from 2pm today until 10am on Monday 18th January. ⁠

During this time, our website and online services will be available. However, since many of the organisations we are connected with will be closed or working reduced hours, most applications for volunteering opportunities will not be processed until the 11th or later.⁠

We would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, and a joyful Bodhi Day, Pancha Ganapati, Kwanzaa, and New Year!⁠

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
