Memorial Park - wastewater overflow
Please stay out of the water at Memorial Park and surrounding areas, this is due to a wastewater overflow yesterday.
A large towel and fat blockage caused wastewater to overflow into the stormwater network and consequently the harbour.
Warning signage is up while we test the levels of bacteria in the water.
As a precaution, please stay out of the water until we let you know it's safe to swim again.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
