Dogs and hot footpaths

Julz from Westshore

Please please, please. On hot days if you have a dog, walk them early morning or evening. I hate seeing people strolling casually with their shoes on, yet the poor dogs are not protected. Stop walking your pets in the heat, or buy your dogs some booties. Today is supposed to be 28 degrees. Take a moment and think of your fur babies. Take your shoes off and see if you get blisters, See pic attached for proof what can happen. That was just a stroll by myself on a hot day without shoes a few years back.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
