New refuse/rubbish pick up...again

John from Papamoa Beach

Just to remind you: there is a superb online petition sponsored by the Papamoa ratepayers association at www.papamoaprogressive.co.nz...

If you want a reality check, consider how the TCC is "gaslighting" us about their Kerbside rubbish collection mandate for next year. Read the information/research conducted by the Papamoa ratepayers association that follows on from their petition against the TCC's action.

You can go directly to the petition at: www.taurangarubbishoptions.com... . Then just keep scrolling down.

Remember this "Neighbourly" post from Julie Rau at election time: "As quoted in Sunlive Mayor Powell, Councillors Clout, Hughes, Abrie, Grainger, Baldock voted for the the new overseas owned operator. Remember them when voting in the next council elections."

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
