Are you keen to get involved in a passionate community organisation dedicated to helping people achieve financial stability?
We are a charitable, not for profit that has been providing budgeting services in the West Auckland community for 27 years.
The Board is seeking volunteer board members with skills and capacity to contribute to the development of the organisation.
Successful candidates will have an understanding of governance; can attend monthly meetings and commit to some email communication between meetings and may have the following skills:
•Marketing & Communications experience
• Accounting experience or Legal expertise
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• An understanding of organisational risk management
• Background in financial advisory/planning
• Fundraising or business development experience
• Strong community connections adding value to the HBSI Board

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
