Alert Level 2 at the Cancer Society

Ione Slater from Cancer Society NZ - Wellington Division

Kia ora neighbours!

As we're back at Alert Level 2 until this Friday, the Cancer Society will be levelling up our contact-tracing and hygiene procedures again to keep everyone safe. You’re still welcome to come and see us, we’ll just be asking you a few questions at the door.

It’s important to remember that people with cancer or at high risk are encouraged to stay at home where possible, and take additional precautions when leaving home. Please continue to attend cancer treatments and discuss any concerns with your treatment team.

Visit our website for more information or you can always give us a call on 0800 CANCER (226 237) for any extra support 💛

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
